Mena lost 43 pounds/20kg, By adopting a Keto diet and working out

Mena lost 43 pounds/20kg. By adopting a Keto diet and working out, she reversed her insulin resistance and PCOS symptoms. She also saw her terrible acne, hyperpigmentation, and hormonal issues improve.

My name is Mena, and I’m a 26-year-old Nigerian. I was heavier and struggling with PCOS. I purchased a lot of magic Brazilian fat-burning coffee, detox teas, etc. When I started using these products, I became irritable, had constant migraines, and my heart palpitations increased daily. I was fatigued, dizzy, and nauseous. Was still gaining weight any time I tried to stop taking those things. I would gain more than I weighed before.

Mena fainted on the stairs one day, and after that, Mena lost 43 pounds/20kg. when she decided to start eating healthily. I researched the Keto diet and started using it. Today I am very glad that I adopted the Keto lifestyle. I have reversed my insulin resistance, terrible acne/hyperpigmentation, hormonal changes, etc.

What was your motivation?

What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?

There were times that I would give in to emotional eating. I would also have terrible cramps because my insulin would go so high, and I had PCOS! Keto and healthy eating reversed my PCOS. I ate my way to good health.

I started my journey a year ago.

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No surgery. None at all.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?

Eating healthy is the only way! You have to stay true to yourself. You may slip up sometimes and indulge but always remember why you started. This body is yours, all yours. You have to do your best to take care of it.

What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?

Don’t believe in teas, coffees, or detoxes that promise you fast and unbelievable results. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Everyone’s weight loss journey isn’t the same. Listen to your body!
